ABOUT

Sofia Kabir is the founder and CEO of NeuroSPOT Speech, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist based in Newport Beach, California. She earned her master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California Baptist University and was born and raised in Southern Orange County.

Before becoming a speech therapist, Sofia built a diverse professional background as a legal assistant for the District Attorney’s office, a peer educator, and a sensory-motor coach. She has worked closely with children, victims of abuse, and young teens, giving her a deep understanding of the emotional and developmental needs of the individuals she serves.

Sofia began her clinical career specializing in Early Intervention, helping young children build foundational communication skills. Over time, her work expanded to include stroke rehabilitation and adult communication recovery, allowing her to serve clients across the lifespan. Her clinical experience also includes collaboration with multiple Orange County school districts—particularly within specialized Autism programs—giving her a unique perspective on bridging therapy, education, and real-world communication.

Sofia has worked alongside legal advocates, enhancing her understanding of the complexities involved in communication and support for clients in various situations. This experience has further enriched her ability to provide effective therapy tailored to the needs of those she serves 

 

Today, Sofia combines her wide-ranging expertise to create personalized, evidence-based therapy programs that help each client achieve lasting progress in school, work, relationships, and daily life.
